Offshore Wind 5 MW - (XD115)

XEMC Darwind has developed a unique 5 MW offshore, Direct Drive Permanent Magnet wind turbine generator with a rotor diameter of 115 meters at 90 m hub height (to be adapted to project specifications).

XEMC Darwind believes that offshore locations require ad hoc sealed and robust technology, designed for low cost installation, logistics and low cost maintenance & service throughout the lifetime of the turbine.

The turbine is designed according to IEC61400 wind class 1C, defined by an annual average wind speed at hub height between 8.5 and 10 m/s and a maximum turbulence intensity of 12% at15 m/s wind speed.

Pending water depths at wind farm site, the XD115 can be installed on various foundations such as monopoles, jackets, gravity based and floating structures.
